What a day! Exploding washing machines, clogged drains, slow DSL....
Kristina and Ted took us for lunch for watching Caesar, which was nice. We went to Sams Club and picked up some stuff then went to their house to watch their vacation video. I would really love to see an ocean.
After the vacation movie it was cleaning time. I cleaned the stairs with a carpet cleaner to get out that "just peed on" smell while Nick did laundry in the basement. While the laundry was going he did the dishes...well he went to check on the clothes and about a fourth of the basement was flooded. You guessed it! A broke washing machine! I got my exercise today bucketing water into the utility, which then proceeded to clog. How wonderful, now we have a PAIR of clogged drains (Upstairs and basement).
We did figure out how to fix our incredibly slow DSL line today. I guess if you use a really long phone cord it loses speed or something. Anyway, that is fixed. Hopefully our landlord will get our phone message and will come here and fix our drains. Three bottles of "professional strength" liquid plumber and a drain snake couldn't fix it, I'd like to see a real professional get his ass in here and fix it.
