Today my old boss from ISU and I went to lunch and saw a movie. We ate at Applebees (which opens at 11 btw so don't go any earlier), which was pretty good. I ordered nachos that came served on this huuuuge platter thing. I asked the waiter (Kaleb) why he didn't tell me it was going to be that big and he said "I like people to make their own mistakes, I don't tell people what to order. I like to guide, but not direct." Gee, you think he's a theater major? DRAMA
So after lunch we went to see House of Fog and Sand. There wasn't too much sand in the movie, but there was a lot of fog and a house. Basically the movie goes like this:
A depressed divorcee doesn't open her mail for 8 months and gets evicted because she didn't pay some taxes that she wasn't supposed to pay anyway. The cop who evicts her "gives her some help getting set up at a hotel" and this Iranian family buys her house before at auction. She hooks up with the cop, he leaves his family and they continuously threaten the Iranians to get out of the house because it's theirs. That whole part wasn't bad, it was the ending that made me feel not so warm and fuzzy inside. If you want to know the ending, I'll blog it next time, some people don't like to hear the endings of movies.
I left the theater feeling very odd.
Jeanine and I went to the mall for a bit and shopped at Hallmark, where I bought a Hazelnut Coffee Yankee candle good enough to drink. I also got some Warm Vanilla Sugar body wash and lotion, which smells good enough to eat.
I am now hanging out at my house wondering if I should either make dinner or just skip it. I'm hungryish, but not hungry enough to actually make anything. I am that lazy.
My neighbor Shaneeka (I kid you not) woke me up this morning at 2AM again, but I fell asleep before I could get motivated to kick her ass. I'll get you yet Gadget...(evil cat laughter)
